Instrument Repair in Central Arkansas

Simple setups, trusted repair expertise, and the same PMC care you know.

At Palmer Music Co., instrument repair has always been about doing things the right way—not rushing jobs or cutting corners. As PMC continues to grow, our repair services are evolving to better serve musicians while keeping quality at the center.

We continue to offer essential in-house services like setups and restrings, while partnering with Big Bear Sounds for advanced repair work. Palmer Music Co. remains your drop-off and pickup location, keeping the process simple, familiar, and focused on getting you back to playing.

In-House Repair Services at PMC

We still handle essential maintenance that keeps your instrument playing comfortably and reliably:

  • Guitar and bass setups

  • Restrings

  • Basic adjustments

  • Playability evaluations

If your instrument needs a tune-up or routine care, our team can take care of it right here at Palmer Music Co.

Advanced Repairs – Continuing Our Work With Big Bear Sounds

Much of the repair philosophy and language on this page was shaped by Bear’s skills and experience during his time as part of the Palmer Music Co. team. His standards helped define how repair has long been approached at PMC.

While PMC is scaling back the scope of in-house repair, our relationship with Bear continues. Advanced and specialized repair work is now handled through Big Bear Sounds, Bear’s repair business.

Bear is a luthier and licensed instrument repair technician

I am telling you if you have never been to Palmer Music Company you are missing out. They have 100% of my business. They rock, and you should stop in and see them.

"dad's old gibson"

Dad’s old Gibson acoustic (late 60’s model) had a crack in it. They meticulously braced and glued the crack, replaced the saddle and nut, and it sounds and plays fantastic. I’d trust them with anything.
